SOCCER DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY

Advanced Development Programs (AGE 12 - 18)

At SDA, our Advanced Development track for students in Years 7–10 is all about helping grassroots players build towards an amateur-level understanding of the game, not just technically, but also tactically at an age-appropriate pace. Players don’t need to be experts, but they should have a working grasp of the basics like passing, dribbling, and control.

In this pathway, training emphasises teamwork, group concepts, and simple game strategies, things like how to attack together, defend as a unit, and make decisions on the field. We focus on growing tactical awareness in a low-pressure, fun way, so kids can start to read the game and make smart choices.

Our qualified coaches use targeted session focuses and personalised feedback to guide development. With consistent training, players sharpen their skills, build confidence, and prepare for adult-amateur soccer once they finish school, all while enjoying their time at SDA and being part of a supportive community.
